About The Position

Analyzes financial data to estimate the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to businesses or members. This role involves preparing financial statement spreads, quantifying debt service abilities, and preparing narrative analyses of findings and recommendations for lenders. The Credit Analyst also performs annual reviews of business credits and may assist with loan committee meetings.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • 4 year college degree
  • 0-2 years in a specialized field (however acquired) such as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statement spreads using financial statement analysis software.
  • Utilize financial statement spreads to quantify member's personal, business, and global debt service abilities.
  • Prepare narrative analysis of findings (including cash flow, collateral discussion, guarantor support, background information, market / industry data, financial ratios, etc.) and recommendations for lenders.
  • Perform annual reviews of business credits in accordance with the credit union's policy.
  • Assist, coordinate and attend loan committee meetings.
  • Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
