About The Position

The Credit Analyst conducts fundamental and relative-value analysis for assigned sectors, issuers, and securities within Fort Washington's public and private fixed income portfolios. The role supports portfolio construction and risk management by developing credit opinions, monitoring market and issuer developments, and preparing investment recommendations for review by senior analysts, portfolio managers, and investment leaders. Coverage may include investment grade credit, high-yield/leveraged credit, emerging markets debt, securitized products, or other assigned fixed income sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a quantitative-related field - Required
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information, interpret data, communicate clearly, and develop sound investment views. - Required
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling. - Required
  • Experience with Bloomberg and data tools. - Required

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Upon Hire - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental analysis of assigned sectors, issuers, structures, and securities.
  • Review financial statements, business trends, collateral characteristics, covenants, ratings actions, and market developments.
  • Build and maintain financial models, credit surveillance materials, and relative-value analysis.
  • Prepare written and verbal research updates, new issue commentary, and investment recommendations.
  • Develop purchase, hold, sell, or position-sizing recommendations for review with senior analysts and portfolio managers.
  • Monitor portfolio holdings and identify changes in credit quality, liquidity, valuation, or downside risk.
  • Participate in sector, portfolio, and risk discussions.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, credit research peers, and other investment teams.
  • Develop knowledge of portfolio objectives, client mandates, insurance ALM considerations, and risk parameters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
