About The Position

The Credit Analyst II role involves reviewing and analyzing documentation to ensure loan files are complete and accurate. This includes verifying information such as title commitments, UCC filings, environmental reports, appraisals, flood insurance, and tax documentation. The analyst will review loan documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, dates, and signatures. Responsibilities also include tracking and following up on file maintenance, monitoring loan files for accuracy and suggesting improvements, and confirming that all booked loans have proper approvals and signatures. A key part of the role is preparing monthly reports for Senior Management based on findings. The position may also involve maintaining and balancing commercial loan holdover accounts and reviewing the underwriting of tax returns and financial statements. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC, is mandatory. Regular, on-site attendance during standard business hours is required. Additional responsibilities include participating in community service and bank-sponsored activities, providing superior customer service, and completing required training. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of banking experience with underwriting and financial analysis responsibilities.
  • Tax analysis experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to maintain quality customer service.

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service experience.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and other basic office equipment
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
  • Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze documentation checking off items as they are received to ensure files are completed.
  • Verify information needed such as title commitments, UCC filings, environmental reports, appraisals, flood insurance and look over the correct tax documentation for underwriting; must review for accuracy.
  • Review loan documents; ensure proper vesting, legal descriptions, dates, signatures, etc.
  • Track and follow up on maintenance of files including but not limited to: rate and payment changes, automatic payment, online banking, insurance, UCC renewals, financial statements and tax returns, corporate verification of status, inspections, etc.
  • Make sure loan files are monitor correctly and suggest changes to be made and make sure they are accurate.
  • Confirm all loans booked have the proper approvals and signatures in the loan file.
  • Prepare monthly report from your findings to Senior Management.
  • May maintain and balance commercial loan holdover accounts monthly.
  • Review the underwriting of tax returns and financial statements as presented in the loan presentation.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Regular, on-site attendance during standard business hours is required to perform the duties of this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish assigned job duties.
