About The Position

As a Commercial Credit Analyst II, you’ll take the lead in evaluating complex credit requests, guiding SBA loan processes, and mentoring junior analysts to strengthen our commercial lending operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional ready to make a strategic impact on portfolio quality and risk management. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Successful completion of a formal credit training program
  • SBA knowledge and experience (SBA SOP 50-10, SABA 7a and 504 credit analysis)
  • Strong competency in basic computer operations and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated analytical skills in cash flow, collateral, and financial analysis
  • Strong communication and grammar skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Positivity, team focus, and professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance
  • Ability to be bonded
  • Some local travel to business or member sites as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex credit analyses and SBA loan evaluations to support sound lending decisions
  • Manage loan renewals, post-closing reviews, and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance, including risk ratings and collateral concentrations
  • Collaborate with SBA partners, auditors, and regulatory examiners to maintain compliance and streamline processes
  • Participate in loan committee meetings and contribute to decision-making
  • Mentor and support the development of junior credit analysts
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SBA guidelines and loan enhancement programs
