About The Position

Credit Analyst II is responsible for underwriting, monitoring, and analyzing credit risk for commercial loans, ensuring compliance with bank policies. Perform in-depth financial statement analysis, build projection models, and prepare credit memos for new and renewal loan requests. In addition, the role entails conducting due diligence and advising on loan structures to minimize risk. Key responsibilities: Preparation of in-depth financial statement analysis, building projection models, and preparation of credit underwriting memos for new and renewal commercial loans. Analyze borrower’s financial performance (cash flow, leverage, liquidity) to assess creditworthiness and determine risk ratings. Create, analyze, and stress-test financial projections (e.g., Debt Service Coverage Ratios) to evaluate loan repayment capacity. Prepare comprehensive credit memos and documentation for new loans or renewals with limited oversight. Support relationship managers and/or loan officers in structuring commercial loans and managing client relationships. May oversee implementation and enforcement of credit policy, monitoring, and reporting on the Bank’s loan portfolio; and assist in the daily operations of credit administration. Perform industry research, collateral evaluations, and client due diligence. May make presentations to officers and/or credit committee members. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
  • 3-4+ years’ experience in credit analysis, lending, or portfolio management
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax return analysis, and loan structuring.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft 365, with advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, team building, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to management.
