About The Position

TruStone Financial is seeking a Credit Analyst I to collaborate with the Assistant Commercial Credit Manager, the VP/Commercial Credit Manager, and Commercial Loan Officers. This role involves preparing loan presentations, annual loan reviews, problem loan worksheets, and analytical evaluations. The Credit Analyst will input financial information into Loan Origination Software, prepare analytical questions, and may accompany Commercial Loan Officers on member business calls. Responsibilities include preparing risk rating worksheets, loan upgrades/downgrades, and ensuring loan presentations, documentation, and file content meet regulatory and credit union policy requirements. The role also involves requesting information from members to maintain the integrity of legal and technical financial requirements.

Requirements

  • Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm at our Burnsville Administrative Office location; exempt.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance or a financial institution related position.
  • PC skills including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while displaying initiative and decision making skills.
  • Ability for local travel that may be necessary in order to conduct site visits.
  • Maintains awareness of enterprise compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML) obligations, and follows internal policies and escalation protocols as applicable.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a business lending environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Assistant Commercial Credit Manager, the VP/Commercial Credit Manager and Commercial Loan Officers on the preparation of loan presentations, annual loan reviews, problem loan worksheets and analytical evaluations.
  • Input collected financial information into Loan Origination Software.
  • Prepare questions based on analytical review of financial information.
  • May accompany Commercial Loan Officers on member business calls to gather pertinent information for the completion of reviews.
  • Prepare risk rating worksheets, loan upgrades/downgrades.
  • Assist the VP/Commercial Credit Manager in assuring loan presentations, documentation, and file content is consistent and meets regulatory and credit union loan policy and procedural requirements.
  • Request information from members, as needed, to assist in maintaining the integrity of legal and technical financial requirements.
