USPF Healthcare Team is currently seeking an Analyst. Fitch Ratings is seeking a self-motivated, inquisitive professional with capital market/fixed income experience or other credit-relevant experience for the healthcare team within the US Public Finance group. The candidate must be able to work independently, with preference given for knowledge of Long-Term Care Sector, commonly called CCRC’s or LPCs and Not-for-Profit Hospitals and Health Systems. The position can be located in any Fitch office.

Requirements

  • Work experience of 2-3 years in public finance and/or related field; solid financial statement analysis skills.
  • Candidate will ideally possess an undergraduate and graduate degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or other Relevant Sector; additional years of work experience beyond the minimum or a Professional Certification in a relevant field (CFA, CPA, etc.).
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work independently, seek answers/assistance as needed, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, transaction-oriented environment.
  • Ability to apply Fitch criteria with a high level of independence and integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • knowledge of Long-Term Care Sector, commonly called CCRC’s or LPCs and Not-for-Profit Hospitals and Health Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Produce thoughtful analysis and timely publication on portfolio of public ratings for long-term care (LPC) credits as well as hospitals and health systems.
  • Present rating recommendations to committee of analysts; participate in rating committee deliberations.
  • Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, legal documents for the purpose of producing ratings, publishing credit reports, and contributing to special research reports.
  • Participate alongside senior analysts in meetings with management teams, investment bankers and financial advisors working in the healthcare sectors.
  • Identify relevant trends, assess their credit impact and highlight these trends in updated industry and market focused reports/presentations.
