About The Position

The Director position within the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology Group at Fitch Ratings is a pivotal role that involves leading the analysis of sports transactions. This group is responsible for covering a diverse range of sports and corporate credits based out of our Austin, New York, Chicago and Toronto office. Qualitative credentials will weigh meaningfully in the selection of the candidate. A healthy sense of intellectual curiosity is critical, along with a willingness and ability to attack and explain topics of analytical complexity. Fitch is a team-oriented work environment, so excellent communication skills are essential, as is a high productivity work-ethic and results oriented mindset.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced Excel and Word skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Team-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

• CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred
• Relevant Sports and TMT experience a plus
• Experience in Sports and TMT industries
• Buy-side, sell-side, bank or rating agency credit experience
• Master’s degree or CFA
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of sports transactions within TMT
• Maintain comprehensive financial models
• Lead meetings with management teams and advisors
• Prepare rating committee materials and published research
• Maintain a strong external analytic profile
• Participate in evaluation of other corporate credits
