About The Position

Southeastern Community College (SCC) is seeking applications for adjunct instructors to teach courses within its Career and Technical Education Division. These adjunct credit faculty positions are compensated at a rate of $700 per credit hour or $40 per contact hour. Adjunct instructors are responsible for providing educational services as assigned, adhering to general college guidelines, board policies, and administrative guidelines.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in a qualifying field or a Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in a qualifying field; or
• Bachelor’s degree in the field of instruction with either 5 years teaching experience or 4000 hours related work experience; or
• 6000 hours related work experience.
• Possess the appropriate registration, certification, or licenses for the occupational area in which the instructor is teaching.

• Flexibility to instruct classes during day and/or evening hours (or online) and for campuses in West Burlington and Keokuk.
• Online courses may also be available.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational services as assigned, in accordance with general college guidelines, board policies, and administrative guidelines.
