About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Credentialing Specialist at Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, Arizona. Canyon State Academy is located on a scenic 180-acre campus surrounded by a football stadium, an athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room, a fully equipped weight room & more), a Farm student housing for 300 + youth, a Thrift Store, Cafe and Barbershop open to the community. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of healthcare credentialing or payer enrollment experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and credentialing software/databases

Nice To Haves

  • associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with behavioral health, residential treatment, Medicaid, or managed care organizations strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CAQH, NPPES, and Medicaid enrollment systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with multi-state Medicaid enrollment processes is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience working with behavioral health providers, PRTFs, RTCs, or residential treatment programs
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, CARF, or CMS-related credentialing standards
  • Understanding of provider contracting and revenue cycle processes

Responsibilities

  • Complete and maintain Medicaid and commercial payer enrollments for providers and facilities across multiple states.
  • Coordinate provider credentialing and recredentialing applications with insurance payers, managed care organizations (MCOs), and regulatory entities.
  • Track credentialing timelines, expirations, renewals, and revalidations to ensure compliance and uninterrupted participation.
  • Prepare, submit, and monitor CAQH applications and attestations.
  • Maintain accurate provider and facility records within credentialing databases and internal systems.
