About The Position

The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for filling out and processing credentialing, contract, revalidation, and other payer documents for in-networking, renegotiations, and routine upkeep. This role involves assisting with processing Letters of Intent (LOIs), applications, contracts, and credentialing for the company with new payers/health plans. The specialist will track credentialing and recredentialing deadlines, monitor and track submissions and status changes with payers, and update internal records. Communication with existing payers regarding updates is also a key responsibility. The role ensures all documents for signature, including credentials, amendments, and correspondence, are escalated appropriately and timely. Filing of returned documents and contracts from payers/plans is required. The position also supports executive leadership with amendments and colleagues with special projects, performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient typing skills.
  • Ability to focus for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of Healthcare Credentialing and/or Payer Enrollment experience.
  • College Degree in related field preferred, but not required.
  • Salesforce is a plus.
