About The Position

CVP is seeking a VA Credentialing and Privileging Program Manager to direct transformational initiatives at VA, focusing on modernizing credentialing and privileging processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing veteran care access through robust healthcare credentialing standards. The ideal candidate will combine deep healthcare credentialing and privileging expertise with proven program management and consulting leadership capabilities to drive VA's critical compliance and operational priorities. This role is central to leading key initiatives including VHA credentialing and privileging modernization, Delegation of Work (DOW) reciprocity optimization, software system acquisition, and improving overall VA performance in service of our nation's veterans. The VA Credentialing and Privileging Program Manager directs and manages VA client relationships in the planning and implementation of credentialing and privileging transformation initiatives. The Program Manager collaborates with executive leadership to establish expectations for deliverables, drive process improvement and compliance initiatives, and ensure excellence in delivery. They will provide strategic oversight in leading the successful modernization of VA credentialing and privileging initiatives, including change management, risk mitigation, software system acquisition support, and performance optimization. Further, the Program Manager will oversee multiple workstreams while ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for improving veteran healthcare services through robust credentialing and privileging compliance, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Requirements

  • Extensive experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or military health systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VHA credentialing and privileging requirements and regulatory standards
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of experience leading complex team-based engagements within a consulting organization, government staff, or support contractor, with demonstrated healthcare expertise
  • Proven experience in credentialing and privileging program management, healthcare compliance, or related healthcare delivery areas
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar quality with a minimum of 6 years' experience supporting a large corporation or government agency
  • Demonstrated success in leading consulting initiatives and implementing project management methodologies such as change management, project management, process improvement, and lean six sigma
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain a US Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead and cultivate strong relationships with VA executive leadership and key stakeholders, serving as a principal advisor on credentialing and privileging transformation initiatives
  • Direct strategic planning and execution of VHA credentialing and privileging modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, veteran care priorities, and organizational goals
  • Provide expert guidance on VHA credentialing and privileging requirements, policies, verification processes, and Delegation of Work (DOW) authorities and compliance standards
  • Lead analysis of credentialing and privileging processes; assess gaps, recommend streamlining workflows, ensure regulatory adherence, and support continuous monitoring
  • Lead analysis and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership on program performance; evaluate initiative issues and risks and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies
  • Drive organizational change by implementing recommendations on credentialing and privileging structures, processes, and systems required to achieve organizational strategies and objectives
  • Direct and support software system acquisition efforts related to credentialing and privileging modernization
  • Oversee the development of executive-level presentations and reports that effectively communicate complex credentialing and privileging strategies and outcomes
  • Direct and manage Program Management operations and deliverables (Charters, SLAs, project plans, etc.)
