About The Position

This role is responsible for processing and submitting complete, timely, and accurate applications and rosters to the appropriate constituents. The coordinator will interpret and assist in implementing the standards of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and maintain and audit credentialing software, ensuring data integrity and updating the database accordingly. This position also processes requests and prepares correspondence to health plans through monthly communications, and serves as the first point of contact for practices and health plans regarding enrollment issues and directory listings. Additionally, the role performs health plan quarterly, semi-annual, and annual audits, and maintains current licensure, certifications, malpractice insurance, and other applicable regulatory items to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of the credentialing database system and compliance with regulatory agencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Certification by National Association Medical Staff Services or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialists preferred
  • Previous experience as a Credentialing Coordinator or Provider Enrollment preferred

Responsibilities
