About The Position

Chadwell Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate, motivated Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT/CVT) to help us grow and strengthen our clinical team. We are a busy, multi-doctor practice caring for dogs, cats, small mammals, avians, and reptiles. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the role of credentialed technicians within our hospital while working alongside a collaborative medical team that values your skills, knowledge, and input. Requirements

  • Current RVT/LVT/CVT license (or ability to obtain Maryland licensure within 6 months)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience
  • Strong interest in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and patient care
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Passion for patient care and continued professional growth

Nice To Haves

  • Interest or experience with exotic and small mammal medicine is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Surgical assistance and patient recovery
  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
  • IV catheter placement and fluid therapy
  • Diagnostic sample collection and laboratory testing
  • Radiology and imaging
  • Hospitalized patient treatments and nursing care
  • Safe, low-stress handling for dogs, cats, and exotic animals
  • Educating clients on preventive care, medications, treatments, husbandry, nutrition
  • Providing discharge instructions and follow-up care recommendations
  • Building strong relationships with clients through compassionate communication
  • Helping support and mentor assistants and support staff
  • Assisting with workflow improvements and patient care initiatives
  • Contributing to a collaborative and positive team environment
