About The Position

Cobblestone Veterinary Care is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and provide dedicated support for surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Arizona
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Radiology positioning and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Accurate medical record documentation
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
  • Proficiency in the following skills: Client education and communication
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
  • Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages
  • Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
  • Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
  • Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
  • Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion
