About The Position

Twin Peaks Veterinary Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their AAHA-accredited, 4-doctor practice. This role requires superior technical and client service skills to deliver the highest quality patient and client care. The practice focuses on nurturing the bond between people and animals by providing timely veterinary services and quality medicine in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. They serve the Arizona communities of Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, and surrounding areas, offering services from preventative wellness to urgent and emergency care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of veterinary hospital practices and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle and maintain sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of clients and employees in a professional, caring, compassionate, and tactful manner.
  • Basic knowledge of the generic and brand names, common uses, and side effects of drugs utilized in a veterinary practice.
  • Basic knowledge of medical equipment and terminology.
  • Basic proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Practice Management software (PIMS).
  • Basic written, verbal, and active listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Basic analytical, critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary Technician Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in venipuncture, catheter placement, digital radiology, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing care.
  • Experience in a 4 doctor practice.
  • Experience in an AAHA-accredited practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with anesthesia.
