This role involves creating high-quality creature assets such as hair, fur, muscle, skin, and costumes for live-action projects. The artist will be responsible for running simulations, preparing grooms, and executing shot sculpts, working in close collaboration with the CG Supervisor and VFX Supervisor to achieve the client's vision. The position requires working with both animated and matchmoved character motions to match filmed surfaces and create new elements based on creative briefs. A secondary requirement includes performing basic rigging for vehicles, props, and other supporting objects, as well as making simple rig adjustments or creations to assist with CFX simulations. The Creature Artist is expected to proactively communicate their approaches to technical and artistic challenges, collaborate with peers in animation, assets, FX, and CG teams, share expertise, and apply critical thinking to ensure optimal project results. The role also entails delivering shot work quotas according to schedule and maintaining effective communication with show Production regarding schedules and deadlines.
