About The Position

This part-time Direct Support Professional position supports an independent artist, musician, and technology enthusiast in the Whitehall area. The role combines creative and technology collaboration with everyday living assistance. The specialist helps with digital portfolios, music projects, social media, light housekeeping, personal organization, and community outings. Specific goals and activities can be discussed flexibly and adapted over time based on mutual interests and rapport. After rapport is established, limited remote support may be possible for select creative and technology projects. The position is 10–20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling, typically beginning with two five-hour days. Employment supervision is provided directly by a family Managing Employer through Pennsylvania's Agency With Choice (AWC) waiver program. Compensation is $21.00–$24.00 per hour, with mileage reimbursement listed as $.076 per mile.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic, supportive, non-authoritative approach.
Comfort with technology and social media, and an appreciation for music, art, or creative projects.
Comfort supporting neurodiverse adults in a collaborative environment.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable personal vehicle.

Nice To Haves

Skills or interests in digital art, graphic design, music recording, video game projects, or maintaining online portfolios.
Ability to provide limited remote support for select creative and technology projects after rapport is established.

Responsibilities

Assist with digital art, graphic design, music recording, video game projects, and updating online portfolios or LinkedIn.
Accompany the individual on local outings, errands, music rehearsals, and events.
