Creative Services Intern
About The Position
WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, New Hampshire, is offering a summer internship with its Creative Services team. The department is responsible for the station’s branding and promotional development. The intern will gain a general understanding of how a television Creative Services department operates and learn the fundamentals of writing and producing effective topical promotion for WMUR. The role includes exposure to broadcast and digital marketing, production work, newscasts, editing sessions, promotional and commercial shoots, and public service announcement production. Responsibilities
- Learn the fundamentals of writing and producing effective news topical promotion.
- Explore broadcast and digital marketing and learn the responsibilities of the Creative Services Department.
- Gain production experience on promotional and commercial shoots, both in-house and on location.
- Observe newscasts and editing sessions.
- Draft topical copy for the station, Chronicle, and other special news segments.
- Learn about the station’s commitment to the community through public service announcement production.
- Apply writing and communication skills in a professional environment.
