About The Position

Shinesty is seeking a part-time Production Assistant to support their in-house photo and video shoots. This role acts as a crucial link between pre-production planning and on-set execution, ensuring all aspects are organized and prepared for smooth shoot operations. The position is capped at 20 hours per week and compensated at $20 per hour.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn.
Comfortable being on your feet for long shoot days and handling physical tasks such as moving products, unpacking shipments, organizing inventory, and loading equipment.
Scrappy mentality: ability to find solutions with available resources.
Access to a vehicle.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a production assistant, studio assistant, or similar role.
Experience working on commercial photo/video shoots.
Experience with inventory management.
Experience sourcing props or building sets.
Basic knowledge of camera equipment, lighting, or grip gear.

Responsibilities

Serve as a general PA on set to ensure the day runs smoothly.
Prep products and props for each setup, allowing the creative team to focus on directing.
Onboard models at photoshoots, explaining attire and ensuring timely placement.
Assist with general photoshoot logistics, including sourcing props from various platforms based on shoot briefs.
Pack, organize, and prep all props, products, and accessories for load-in and load-out.
Build or assemble set pieces and custom props as needed.
Log incoming photo samples, track arrivals, and maintain a record of in-house vs. outstanding items.
Find and contact models outside of agencies for upcoming photoshoots.
Unpack product after deliveries and handle returns and repackaging after shoots.
Maintain studio organization, tidiness, and functionality on a daily basis.
