About The Position

The intern will learn the ins and outs of performing rights and support the Creative Pop team in Los Angeles by assisting with A&R research, helping BMI song writers and publishers with questions regarding their accounts, and working as a team to create, plan and implement various workshops, panels and showcases. The intern will also be tasked with staying on top of trends impacting the music industry and listening to plenty of music!

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student.
• Must return to school in the Fall of 2026.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Working knowledge of music & trends
• Ability to work independently, follow up on tasks, and be productive
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Detail oriented, organized and punctual.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask & prioritize assignments to meet deadlines

• Open to all areas of study with an appreciation for and interest in music business and event coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist with different types of research, including but not limited to: Spotify, Billboard, Tik Tok & SHAZAM chart research, music blogs and searching for new potential writers.
• Assist with the creation, planning and implementation of various workshops, panels, showcases and other Creative events that are put on throughout the year.
• Assist with #1 parties that occur during the internship
• Assist with digital marketing research across various social platforms
• Assist BMI songwriters & publishers regarding their accounts
• Organize product storage for events
• Regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
