About The Position

Autodesk is seeking a Creative Director for its Flow Studio, a new initiative at the intersection of AI, creativity, and storytelling. This role is crucial for defining how the product is presented to the world, extending beyond traditional campaigns to encompass all created content. The ideal candidate will have a builder mindset, capable of establishing a distinct creative voice, operating with speed, and delivering a high level of craft to stand out in the competitive AI and creative tools market. This position requires a deep understanding of visual storytelling, particularly with VFX, and the ability to translate complex product features, especially AI capabilities, into compelling narratives. The Creative Director will collaborate closely with marketing and product teams, guiding technical artists, designers, motion graphics specialists, editors, and copywriters to ensure integrated and impactful creative output.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio across brand, product, and social content.
  • Background in fast-moving, content-driven environments.
  • Ability to concept and execute, not just direct.
  • High taste level with attention to detail and storytelling craft.
  • Understanding of how AI is shaping creative workflows and output.
  • Comfort working across formats including film, social, digital, and product storytelling.
  • Collaborative mindset with a bias toward making.

Responsibilities

  • Define the creative standard for all content, ensuring it is visually compelling and technically credible.
  • Establish a clear point of view on what constitutes excellent VFX-driven product storytelling.
  • Lead creative direction across campaigns, product marketing, and always-on social content.
  • Develop a distinct visual and storytelling language for Flow Studio.
  • Translate product features, especially AI-driven capabilities, into compelling, human stories.
  • Partner deeply with marketing and product to ensure creative is grounded in real use cases.
  • Guide collaboration between technical artists/VFX, design and motion, editorial and copy.
  • Ensure work feels integrated, not handed off between silos.
  • Build systems that allow for the production of high-quality work at speed.
  • Continuously push the work to feel modern, relevant, and culturally aware.
  • Provide clear creative direction and actionable feedback.
  • Mentor across disciplines including design, VFX, and storytelling.
  • Build a culture of curiosity, ownership, and high standards.
