About The Position

Paleovalley and Wild Pastures are seeking an exceptional Creative Director to lead and elevate the visual expression of our brands as we scale across direct-to-consumer, retail, and omnichannel distribution. This role is responsible for bringing our brand to life visually — ensuring every customer touchpoint reflects a cohesive, compelling, and high-quality creative identity. From digital experiences and marketing campaigns to packaging and retail presence, this person will define how our brand shows up in the world. We are not looking for a brand strategist or messaging owner — our brand story, positioning, and voice are already established. Instead, we need a hands-on creative leader and exceptional designer who can translate that foundation into a powerful, unified visual system and lead the execution of high-impact creative across the business. The Creative Director will partner closely with Growth, Retention, Ecommerce, and Retail teams to ensure creative both elevates the brand and performs across channels. This role will play a critical part in finalizing and operationalizing our rebrand, ensuring both Paleovalley and Wild Pastures are visually cohesive, distinct where needed, and built to scale into retail. This role requires a strong understanding of performance marketing and the ability to operate within that reality. Not all high-performing creative will perfectly align with brand guidelines — and that’s okay. The right candidate knows how to balance brand integrity with performance, partnering with Growth teams to evolve creative in a way that improves results over time without disrupting what’s already working. This is a highly visible, high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of design excellence, creative direction, and marketing performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Visual Brand & Creative Direction: Own and evolve the visual identity and design systems across Paleovalley and Wild Pastures. Ensure all creative aligns with established brand strategy, story, and positioning. Act as the guardian of visual consistency and quality across all channels. Translate brand strategy into clear, scalable creative direction.
  • Own Visual Brand Cohesion Across the Business: Ensure a consistent and unified visual experience across all customer touchpoints. Align creative across Growth, Retention, Ecommerce, and Retail teams. Identify and correct inconsistencies in design, layout, photography, and visual tone. Ensure both brands feel cohesive at a portfolio level while maintaining distinct identities. Bridge the gap between brand storytelling and visual execution.
  • Translate Brand Strategy into Creative Execution: Partner with leadership to bring brand strategy and rebrand efforts to life visually. Develop creative concepts for campaigns, product launches, and key marketing initiatives. Ensure campaigns are visually cohesive across digital, retail, and omnichannel touchpoints. Elevate creative quality while maintaining alignment with performance goals.
  • Drive Creative Across Growth, Retention, and Retail: Partner closely with Growth (paid media), Retention (lifecycle), Ecommerce, and Retail teams. Provide creative direction across paid media, email/SMS, website, landing pages, Amazon, and retail. Ensure creative execution remains cohesive across all touchpoints. Collaborate with Growth teams to iterate on performance-driven creative, balancing conversion goals with long-term brand evolution. Understand where creative should flex for performance and where consistency matters most, making intentional trade-offs.
  • Build Brand Systems, Packaging & Retail Creative: Establish scalable brand guidelines, creative playbooks, and design systems. Oversee packaging design and retail creative to ensure strong shelf presence. Develop visual systems that scale across product lines and retail environments.
  • Lead and Scale the Creative Function: Serve as the central creative authority across the organization. Lead and mentor designers and creative contributors (current and future).
