Job Summary We’re a diverse creative group that crafts innovative campaigns across an exciting portfolio of sports, music, and lifestyle clients, and we’re on the lookout for an amazing Creative Director to join our team! In addition to being an amazing creative and collaborator, we’re looking for an experienced Creative Director who leads by example, loves being in the work as much as shaping it, and is driven by relationships — both internal and external. This is a hybrid role - 3 days on site at our Toronto office. Please include a link to your portfolio in your application. Job Overview As one of our senior leaders, you’ll lead the charge across multiple projects while maintaining quality control of the creative team’s output. From anticipating client callouts to knowing what production is going to say about a concept, you’ll use your keen sixth sense and experience to identify problems before they happen— helping the creative process run smoother while making ideas and teams stronger. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with clients to craft concepts and strategies that push them to bigger and better places, all while staying on top of industry trends that keep brands relevant in their respective space.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience with 3-5+ years experience in a creative leadership role, with a strong background in art direction and creative connecting
  • Experience with alcohol brands and sports partnerships
  • High end skills in Adobe Creative Suite, with knowledge / experience in other creative platforms
  • Leads by example, with a hands on approach to concept and craft
  • The ability to develop high-level strategic creative and adjust alongside shifting goals
  • A demonstrated passion for and understanding of social media and using it to solve brand/business challenges
  • Success in developing big ideas that forge strong emotional connections between consumer and brand, and supporting those ideas with thorough research
  • The intellectual agility to look big picture instead of day-to-day
  • The charm to build relationships (internally and with clients) and collaborative leadership skills
  • Strong storytelling and presentation ability
  • Innate curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Commitment to excellence — working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the account and cross-functional team leaders to manage senior level clients.
  • Develop and deliver thought leadership and creative solutions that strengthen clients’ visual market distinction and leadership position.
  • Direct creative strategy and execution.
  • Foment proactivity within the creative team
  • Continue protecting and nurturing a well-established client relationship by doing amazing day to day work, but also bringing in bonus tracks to get client motivated of what other things we could be doing
  • Inspire the team with where you want to take the account towards, define the creative north star and don't lose sight of that
  • Motivate and inspire creative teams and serve as overall creative lead across art direction, copywriting, photography, and design.
  • Direct all phases of creative work from concept through production.
  • Promote creative improvement and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, excellence and accountability.
