About The Position

Our Campus United (OCU) is a student-led nonprofit fighting antisemitism and celebrating Jewish pride, safety, and joy on college campuses across North America. Through powerful visuals, digital storytelling, and community-driven content, we spotlight diverse Jewish voices and allies while building safer, more inclusive campus environments. We’re seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Creative & Digital Media Manager to lead the visual execution of OCU and The OCU Chronicle across platforms. This person will bring our stories, campaigns, and student voices to life through compelling design, video, and digital assets—ensuring everything we publish reflects OCU’s unapologetic, joyful, and impactful brand. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design, video editing, and digital media, preferably within Jewish, Israel, advocacy, or values-driven nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling across social, video, and web platforms.
  • Experience supporting or managing websites and digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media and website analytics, including tracking performance and identifying trends.
  • Proficiency in design and video tools (e.g., Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).
  • Highly flexible and adaptive, with the ability to pivot quickly in dynamic advocacy environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear, collaborative communicator who thrives in team-based environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own all graphic design execution for OCU and The OCU Chronicle, including daily social media graphics, campaign assets, educational infographics, website visuals, digital ads, printed materials, presentations, pitch decks, merchandise, and event signage.
  • Execute and uphold brand guidelines across all platforms and assets.
  • Translate concepts, campaigns, and messaging into visually compelling, on-brand designs that reflect OCU’s joyful and unapologetic tone.
  • Design merchandise and campaign visuals that resonate with students and campus communities.
  • Edit short-form video content (Instagram Reels) highlighting students, events, campaigns, and educational content.
  • Edit long-form video and audio content for The OCU Chronicle, including student interviews with thought leaders, for use on Substack, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
  • Ensure high-quality production standards across all video and multimedia content.
  • Support visual and design updates for OCU and OCU Chronicle websites, including asset creation, layout support, and content execution.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure digital platforms reflect current campaigns, priorities, and storytelling needs.
  • Track and report on Instagram and website analytics for OCU and The OCU Chronicle.
  • Monitor performance trends and share insights with leadership to inform creative and digital decisions.
  • Support ongoing optimization of visual content based on engagement and performance data.
  • Set monthly social media KPIs and growth goals, and present a weekly report to the team on social media growth and learnings.
  • Track macro social media trends, and trends within the Jewish social media space, and ensure that OCU leverages trends to support growth.
  • Partner closely with the Chief of Staff and CEO to support organizational goals, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with student ambassadors, contributors, and partners to visually amplify their work and stories.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive execution across platforms.
