About The Position

WRIC, 8News in the Capitol city of Richmond, VA has an immediate opening for an Executive Producer of Digital Content. Working with the News Director, the Digital Executive Producer sets the vision and leads the news team that creates, develops and produces the station's digital coverage on all platforms. We are looking for a newsroom leader with strong news judgment who will foster a competitive digital newsroom culture. Previous success growing a website and mobile views/visits is essential, and experience improving performance from metrics is a must. The successful candidate must have knowledge of video desktop editing, basic coding, HTML, CMS, Photoshop and word processing programs. Social Media / Audience Engagement experience is also required to lead growth on all social media platforms. Candidate must have a 5 plus years of experience in newsroom management and digital producing. We are looking for a person to lead our Digital team and drive higher levels of engagement, web traffic, and television viewing from our social audiences. Requirements

• Previous success growing a website and mobile views/visits is essential
