About The Position

The Creative Content Coordinator works with Bright Beginnings (BB) and Help Me Grow Central Intake and Referral (HMG CIR) staff to develop marketing and communications strategies consistent with goals and requirements. This includes developing messaging strategies, creating informational resources, newsletters, and digital communications, managing web content and social media accounts, organizing and supervising advertising efforts, preparing reports, and providing oversight to marketing contractors. Partners with the BB and HMG CIR leadership teams in working with staff and subcontracted agencies in the implementation of Community Engagement/Outreach Plans and Strategic Plans. Partners with other groups providing prenatal to five services, develops strategies to increase collaborations, and conducts presentations.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of public relations, marketing, and/or branding work experience.
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. word processing, electronic spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software), email applications, and internet usage.
  • Intermediate skill level in Adobe Creative Cloud, design software (i.e. Canva, Venngage, etc.), e-mail marketing software, and video editing software.
  • Experience with social media account management (i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.), advertising campaigns, content creation, and analytics.
  • Experience with website content management systems.
  • Ability to resolve moderately complex problems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a particular emphasis on strong writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience.
  • Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Ability to learn new skills, technology, and tasks.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and solution-focused.
  • Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with the public and staff in a personable and professional manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License and appropriate insurance coverage.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Advanced skill level in Adobe Creative Cloud, design software (i.e. Canva, Venngage, etc.), e-mail marketing software, and video editing software preferred.
  • Experience within the non-profit sector or social service is preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
