About The Position

Performs various functions to support and maintain the health of the CRE loan portfolio in accordance with MACU and NCUA rules and regulations, participates in team administration functions, and in all aspects of the post-closing CRE lending cycle. Works with commercial lending leadership, loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, closing specialists, loan servicing, and various third parties to coordinate modification requests, file reviews, and loan reviews for less complex structured CRE loans, which may include singular borrowers, minimal amount of guarantors, and smaller loan balances generally up to $5 million. Has a general understanding of CRE loan documentation and operates in accordance with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company and business units. Has a general understanding of business tax returns, personal tax returns, schedule K-1s, financial statements, and rent rolls. Understands and demonstrates a high level of written communication relating to loan file documentation, memorandums, and all forms of written communication. Performs post-file reviews of recently closed less complex CRE loans and notes any exceptions that need to be addressed. Works directly with members to gather financial documents as required for loan reviews. Prepares less complex modification documents and ensures updates to the core system are in place and accurate. Ensures accurate records are maintained in loan files including lien perfections. Ensures CRE loan ticklers are properly documented and maintained. Ensures regular communication through the modification process with management, loan officers, and members. Processes invoices from vendors, appraisers, and other third parties. Coordinates with servicing on site visits as required for loan reviews. Performs annual reviews on CRE loans including payment history, property tax status, credit scores and similar criteria to complete the annual review form. Makes recommendations for loan grade adjustments. Accurately produces, reviews and processes payoffs and payoff statements. Assists commercial leadership with portfolio reporting. Manages incoming calls and Portfolio Management email inbox, returning calls and emails within a 24-hour turnaround. Manages physical file storage room and paid off loans by scanning and uploading paid loan files to assigned storage system. Sends out rate adjustment letters, final notices, and default notices to members. Provides superior customer service both internally and externally with regard to CRE loans. Works together with all teams to accomplish monthly, quarterly and annual goals. Problem solves and provides suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year loan closing or servicing experience in a progressive financial setting.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Unquestioned personal and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with good organizing and time management skills.
  • Ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and timelines.

  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.

  • Good oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization.
  • Good writing and grammatical skills relating to preparing credit memos, addendums, memorandums, and all forms of written communication.
