We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Crating Specialist in Poestenkill, NY. The Crating Specialist is responsible for reading and understanding assembly prints for the purpose of building various pieces of equipment and equipment packaging.
Requirements
- High school or GED
- 3-5 years hands on experience
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly drawings
- Ability to work with numerous specialized hand tools

- Military experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and packaging specifications to construct shipping crates and prepare Gleeble systems and related equipment for domestic and international shipment.
- Operate carpentry tools, power tools, and material handling equipment as required.
- Perform mechanical assembly of Gleeble subassemblies, fixtures, and related equipment by following engineering drawings, assembly procedures, and work instructions.
- Support production activities as needed to meet delivery schedules.
- Perform finishing operations including surface preparation, painting, touch-up, cleaning, labeling, and final presentation of equipment and components prior to shipment.
- Support facility maintenance and improvement projects including painting, repairs, workspace organization, crating area maintenance, and other activities that contribute to a safe, efficient, and professional work environment.
- Perform other duties, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned to support business objectives, customer requirements, production demands, and operational needs.
