Requirements
- No prior crating experience required; warehouse, packaging, carpentry, or shipping experience is a plus.
- Willingness to learn safe use of hand tools, power tools, and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic ability to read a tape measure or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification is not required but may be obtained after hire based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with packing, wrapping, padding, blocking, bracing, and securing products for shipment.
- Help build standard crates, pallets, skids, and other protective packaging.
- Gather lumber, fasteners, packing materials, tools, and supplies needed for daily work.
- Measure and cut materials under the direction of the Lead Crater or Master Crater.
- Apply shipping labels and assist with verifying part numbers, quantities, and shipment paperwork.
- Keep the crating and warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Safely use approved hand tools and equipment after training.
- Assist with loading, unloading, receiving, inventory, and material movement as assigned.
- Report damaged products, unsafe conditions, supply shortages, or quality concerns to the Lead Crater or Master Crater.
- Follow all company safety policies, attendance expectations, and work procedures.
- Complete other warehouse and crating duties as assigned.
