This role may involve operating equipment such as a backhoe, bulldozer, crane, dragline, front-end loader, motor grader, cherry picker, or dump truck. The operator is responsible for setting up and operating production equipment according to established guidelines and procedures, adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner. The position requires moving hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline, or steam-powered operating equipment and interpreting hand signals for material placement. The individual will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines, working under immediate supervision without typically exercising independent judgment.
