About The Position

The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe operation of a crane, including setup, pre-trip inspections, rigging, and crane operation. The role operates in an outside environment and routinely involves working in all weather conditions, including extreme wind, rain, cold, and heat. The listed pay is $80,000 to $130,000 per year, with hourly pay type.

Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool.

Must arrange reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

Operate the crane under general supervision.
Use crane controls to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
Ensure loads are properly secured.
Review rigging work before lifting.
Inspect the crane daily for safety issues.
Complete job tickets and other necessary paperwork.
Lift, position, and place machinery, equipment, or other large objects at locations.
Drive the crane to the work site.
Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
Operate levers and pedals to rotate the crane on its chassis, raise and lower the boom, and raise and lower the load line.
Attend and participate in safety meetings.
Understand and comply with company, customer, health and safety policies, weight and dimension requirements, and other applicable regulations.
Report all incidents immediately.
Perform other duties as directed by management.
