About The Position

This role involves operating overhead cranes and forklifts, ensuring safe lifting procedures and machine operation. The Crane Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, performing preventative maintenance, and monitoring machine performance. The position requires adherence to safety policies, documentation of actions, and the ability to adjust machinery as needed. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be able to constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions
Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally
Must be able to carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally
Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching will be required
Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment

Responsibilities

Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes
Operate forklifts according to safe operating procedures
Bring in and remove various sizes, thickness and shapes of steel parts
Maintains safe operations of all machines by adhering to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures
Set up and operate CNC machines for the drill line and/or saw operations
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
Monitor the machine to ensure that it is running at maximum performance
Detect and report all machine malfunctions
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
Adjust machine as needed
Other duties as assigned
