About The Position
This role involves operating an overhead crane with a remote control to load and offload steel plate and parts. The operator will be responsible for manipulating crane controls to regulate speed and direction, ensuring proper and safe loading and unloading procedures. Additionally, the position requires reporting equipment safety issues immediately, operating a forklift, performing general labor, operating a hand grinder, and taking tape measurements.

Responsibilities

- Load and off load steel plate and parts to and from inventory, rail cars and trucks
- Manipulate and maneuver crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane
- Use proper and safe loading and unloading procedures
- Report equipment safety issues immediately upon inspection
