About The Position

Reworld is seeking a Mi-Jack crane operator and heavy equipment operator for its Derwood, MD Transfer Station in Montgomery County, MD. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Reworld's heavy equipment at the site including Mi-Jack crane, front loader, bulldozer, and excavator.

Requirements

Ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in the operation of a Mi-Jack crane.
Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience operating heavy equipment including Mi-Jack Crane, Front end Loaders, Excavators, preferred.
Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
Consistently work in various weather conditions.
Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.

Nice To Haves

GED/HS Diploma preferred
Experience operating Mi-Jack Crane, Front end Loaders, Excavators, preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate a Mi-Jack crane used to move loaded and empty containers from truck chassis to railcars.
Consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor.
Operate an excavator with trash grapple for loading outbound trucks.
Operate a forklift for material handling.
Operate a skid steer for yard sweeping and misc. tasks.
Fill in for other positions as needed, including equipment operator, compactor operator, and shuttle driver occasionally.
Aid mechanic on equipment repairs requiring additional help.
Perform additional duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor.
