About The Position

BAUER Foundation Corp. (BFC) is seeking Rope Grab Crane Operators to support our projects across the United States. BFC is the U.S. subsidiary of the BAUER Group, a global leader in foundation contracting and equipment manufacturing. As a key player in the construction division, BFC specializes in complex excavation pits, ground improvement, deep foundations, and vertical seals, employing advanced equipment and techniques for industrial, commercial, residential, and governmental projects.

Requirements

  • Valid driver license
  • Availability to Travel within the US.
  • NCCCO or equivalent ANSI/ASME accredited LBC crane operator certification
  • OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Training
  • Must be fit for duty, able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all company safety requirements and site-specific safety rules on the jobsite.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
  • Excellent depth perception and reaction time
  • Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs, as well as inspect and maintain machinery
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site, in all types of weather
  • Must be able to stand and sit for 10-12 hours
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of 2 years experience operating lattice booms with Rope Grabs
  • Ability to work independently and on a team

Responsibilities

  • Operates specialized machinery such as telescope booms, lattice booms, and hydraulic cranes.
  • Responsible for operation, setup and daily/weekly maintenance of assigned equipment.
  • Responsible for understanding all functions of the assigned crane equipment and directing the proper setup of equipment in the correct configuration to perform lifting functions safely and within the rated capacity of the assigned crane equipment.
  • Exhibits leadership when directing supporting mobilization crews including, riggers, signalpersons and truck drivers during the setup, operation, dismantle and hauling of assigned crane equipment.
  • Customer focused attitude and problem solving skills.
  • Must make wise and knowledgeable decisions to maintain safe work practices at all times.
  • Maintain, Lubricate and Clean assigned equipment regularly.
  • Coordinate all work in the field with Superintendent and team.
  • Direct and monitor apprentices assigned to the Superintendent or foremans supervision.
  • Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures.
  • Complete daily/weekly inspection logs as required by Bauer.
  • Fuel equipment upon return at the end of each day.
  • Loading and preparing all special rigging and crane accessories or tools required daily.
  • Report all accidents or safety concerns to Superintendent or safety department.
