About The Position

Louisiana Bridge Builders (LBB) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street. The Crane Operator II (above 150 tons) is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by operating Lattice boom cranes and/or hydraulic boom cranes as required and directed by Project Supervision.

Requirements

• National Crane Certification (NCCCO or NCCER) that is good.
• 5+ years of relevant crane operating experience.
• Crane over 150t capacity.
• Ability to operate other heavy equipment.
• Ability to operate machinery using throttles, switches, levers, etc.
• Ability to maintain a National Crane Certification (NCCCO or NCCER).

Nice To Haves

• Experience driving concrete piles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate lattice boom or Hydraulic crane above 150 tons.
• Read and understand lift plans and always adhere to the lift plan.
• Perform daily inspections and complete inspection reports that will be reviewed and actioned by the Crane Superintendent.
• Be flexible if they have experience in different cranes, there may be instances where the operator will be expected to run a different crane.
• Perform all tasks efficiently and safely.
• Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
