The role of the Crane and Mobile Maintenance Technician includes, but is not limited to, maintaining all plant mobile equipment and overhead traveling cranes, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, ordering parts, preparing work orders, and ensuring safety is always the first concern while working at extreme heights and in demanding environments. Ability to work rotating shift, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of industrial maintenance experience

Nice To Haves

Experience with VFDs, AC motors, and motor controls
Mechanical power transmission and machine alignment
Fluid power systems
Diesel engine / Automotive repair
Experience with PLCs
