The company is seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic for work in the Galena Park, TX area. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of internal gear and positive displacement principles, be competent with mechanical seals and stuffing boxes, have experience with laser precision alignment and skid dynamics, and be able to diagnose and troubleshoot.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 5+ years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair
- TWIC Card preferred
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be a current resident in the Houston metro area
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary certificate or degree in engineering OR training as a mechanic is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
- Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
- Complete shop paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
