About The Position
Turner Industries Group is hiring experienced Crane and Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support its fleet at an equipment yard in Pasadena, Texas. Candidates should have experience with heavy equipment, gas and diesel engines, and hydraulic systems. The position offers regular work of 40 hours or more per week, with overtime after 40 hours and overtime or call-outs as needed, paid at time-and-a-half. Per diem and relocation are unavailable; the successful candidate must currently reside in the Houston metro area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- At least 5 years of experience with diesel or heavy equipment repair.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be a current resident of the Houston metro area; per diem and relocation are not available.
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary certificate or degree in engineering, or mechanic training.
- TWIC Card.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
- Determine the parts and tools needed to make repairs.
- Complete shop paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
