About The Position

The Craftsperson is responsible for performing all job functions within the assigned final line area and assisting with operator training. This role also supports troubleshooting and repairs to ensure smooth production flow and adherence to safety and quality standards. The position requires flexibility to rotate across responsibilities. The starting pay is $20.50 per hour with automatic pay increases at 90 days and 6 months. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is paid out in two installments at 30 days and 90 days. The 1st Shift is Monday-Thursday, 6am - 3:30pm and Friday, 6am - 10am, with overtime on Fridays as needed. The training timeline for this position is up to 4 weeks.

Requirements

  • Ability to use hand tools and machinery.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Familiarity with units of measure for weight, time, and distance.
  • Ability to learn and implement safety and quality procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting.
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. at waist level and up to 70 lbs. at shoulder level occasionally.
  • Push or pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Generate up to 100 lbs. of grip strength and 20 lbs. of pinch strength occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive tasks for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Stand continuously and walk frequently during shifts.
  • Stoop, kneel, squat, and reach forward or sideways as needed.
  • Perform occasional elevated work when handling products.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing-related experience preferred, job related experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Learn, rotate, and perform all job responsibilities in the assigned final line area.
  • Set up and operate all machinery and equipment on the final lines.
  • Assist in identifying and eliminating abnormalities on the final line.
  • Perform and assist with repairs as needed.
  • Perform audits specific to the area and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and production requirements.
  • Maintain production rates that meet customer demand.
  • Work flexible hours, including mandatory overtime as required.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
  • Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
