About The Position

Cavalier Distributing is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Support Representative to join their team. This role is not a typical desk job; it involves being the backbone of sales in an assigned territory, requiring daily travel to various accounts across the metro area and surrounding region. The representative will be the face of Cavalier, responsible for ensuring the successful distribution and placement of craft beer, wine, and other beverages in the market, connecting with clients, and helping to grow the craft beverage world.

Requirements

A basic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work varied hours, including occasional evenings and/or weekends for special events.
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
A valid, unexpired driver’s license with a clean DMV record and reliable transportation.
Ability to handle products generally weighing 0 - 165 pounds on occasion.
Ability to perform bending and stooping.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must apply for a solicitor’s license with the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in the successful sale, distribution, and placement of a wide range of Cavalier products.
Conduct beer tastings, beer dinners, and promotions to engage with customers.
Develop new business and maintain strong, effective customer relations, promoting the good will of the company.
Handle customer inquiries and act as a reliable point of contact for credit, delivery, and product information.
Assist the District Sales Manager and Sales Representatives by covering routes, assisting with product displays, helping with resets at chain stores, and maintaining all documentation (check-in sheets, invoices).
Assist in setting up and tearing down special events and festivals.
Handle product rotation and ensure code policy is followed.
