About The Position

Cavalier Distributing is seeking a motivated and independent Craft Beverage Sales Representative to join their team in Dayton, OH. This outside sales role involves managing and growing relationships with existing retail accounts while also developing new business. The representative will be responsible for the sales, distribution, and placement of a diverse product portfolio, acting as the face of Cavalier in their assigned territory. The position offers the freedom to manage one's own day, become a trusted authority on craft beverages, and directly impact earnings through a commission-based compensation structure. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required for special events and promotions.

Requirements

Basic understanding of the craft beer and beverage industry.
Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
Valid, unexpired driver’s license and a clean DMV record.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to apply for and obtain a solicitor’s license with the state.
Ability to handle product generally weighing 0 - 55 pounds, including bending and stooping as needed for product rotation and merchandising.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts.
Proactively develop new business and foster strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.
Regularly visit accounts and become the trusted authority on craft beverages in the area.
Sell and expand product lines, ensuring successful placement and maintenance of all Cavalier products.
Host beer tastings, dinners, and promotions to drive enthusiasm and sales.
Handle all aspects of the sales cycle, including preparing quotes, executing monthly goals, ensuring excellent customer service, and timely collections.
Assist with seasonal product displays, store resets, and represent Cavalier at special events and festivals.
