About The Position

Preferred Paving, LLC is a longstanding local asphalt company with more than 30 years of experience, depth of knowledge and tradition. We are known within the industry for our outstanding employee culture and a business model. This position is seasonal, typically from spring through fall, with a tentative start date of April 1, 2026, which is weather dependent. We are seeking Laborers for our Crack and Seal Crew to perform asphalt repairs, clean up parking lots and city roads, and apply crack seal & seal coat where needed.

Requirements

• Ability to handle physical workload & lift up to 60 lbs.
• Strong work ethic & good attitude
• Physically able to work long hours
• Willing and able to work weekends as needed
• Must be able to pass controlled substance tests prior to, and at all times, during employment.
• Must also be able to pass E-Verify verification

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Commercial driver's license is a plus

Responsibilities

• Use a broom
• Use a shovel
• Use a high-pressured blower
• Apply Crack Seal
• Apply Seal Coat
• Report any issues or incidents to Foreman
• Keep equipment clean
• Assist crew with cleanup of roads or parking lots
