About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring Crab Shakers for a seafood processing facility in Westport, Washington. This hands-on production role involves processing crab products in a fast-paced environment while meeting daily production goals and following food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures. Training and on-the-job support are provided. Seasonal and year-round opportunities are available, with the possibility of long-term employment. Orientation must be completed before work begins.

The schedule is day shift, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend work may be required based on production needs, and overtime may be available, particularly during peak season. Pay is $17.75 per hour, with weekly pay and direct deposit or pay card options.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process crab products.
• Carry baskets of crab product weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Use a mallet and anvil to remove crab meat from shells.
• Inspect crab meat for shells and defects and check product quality and cleanliness.
• Grade and pack seafood according to company standards.
• Sort and prepare finished product.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Meet daily production goals and work efficiently in a fast-paced seafood processing environment.
• Perform additional production duties as assigned.
