CareRx is in an exciting growth phase and is seeking to hire a CQI Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area. Under the general direction of the Designated Manager, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is responsible for conducting quality improvement audits to achieve client satisfaction in each home and to provide educational support for the home care partners that CareRx services.

Requirements

  • Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Ability to manage changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team
  • Customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication, service skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EMAR systems and use of a tablet and/or laptop

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Audits of the Medication Management System in Long Term Care (LTC) and Retirement Homes (RH) to be completed efficiently and with a great attention to detail
  • Working with the Clinical Consultant Pharmacist, communicating audit results to the client and to develop action plans for improvement and compliance
  • Ongoing communication with nurses, Directors of Care in LTC and Wellness Managers in RH facilities regarding medication management systems, improvement and compliance
  • Providing educational support to Unregulated Care Providers (UCP) in RH facilities
  • Other responsibilities that may be assigned
