About The Position

This is a summer internship position for CHS students to work within the CPS Summer School program. Interns will support classroom activities, act as role models and mentors to students, and assist teachers with various tasks. The program runs from June 29th to July 23rd, Monday through Thursday, from 8 AM to Noon. This is a student worker position with a compensation rate of $16.25/hour.

Requirements

• Must be a CHS student in good standing, maintaining grades and behaviors at CHS.
• Must be able to travel to the assigned location via walk, ride, or bus.
• Must act as a role model and mentor to students.
• Can provide proof of citizenship, residency, or work visa.

Responsibilities

• Support all classrooms as assigned by the Building Summer Supervisor.
• Engage with students and be present during activities.
• Assist teacher leaders in preparing and supporting their work.
• Uphold standard student worker expectations.
• Participate in planning alongside teachers.
• Fully participate in program activities and serve as a role model and leader.
• Provide administrative support for record keeping or data collection in support of the program.
