Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in Louisiana
At least 5 years of experience practicing insurance coverage law.
Strong knowledge of insurance law, including coverage issues and policy interpretation.
Proven track record of success in handling insurance coverage litigation matters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
Strong analytical acumen and adept problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and representation to clients in insurance coverage disputes.
Preparing coverage opinions and coverage recommendations to insurers.
Conduct meticulous analysis of insurance policies and coverage nuances to evaluate liabilities and exposures accurately.
Develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers.
Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends in insurance law.
