Our Legal-Litigation department is currently seeking an experienced insurance coverage attorney for our Chicago, Illinois territory to represent the company by providing coverage opinions relative to Commercial and Personal Insurance policies.

Requirements

Illinois law License
Strong academic and professional credentials
3+ years of experience providing formal written coverage opinions related to claims on commercial general liability insurance policies
Experience as a trial attorney litigating coverage issues
Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Draft, prepare and handle coverage opinion letters and coverage position letters on first- and third-party insurance files
Draft and respond to complex, dispositive motions
Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency
Prepare and take depositions and interviews of parties and experts
Review client documents, draft evaluations and status report correspondence
Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances
