Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when production demands require.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cover operator experience.
  • Print manufacturing or bindery experience.
  • Experience with automated production equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cover-making equipment according to job specifications and production schedules.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor machinery to maintain quality and efficiency standards.
  • Review job tickets and verify material requirements before production begins.
  • Inspect covers throughout production to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment and production issues.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Work closely with production, bindery, and quality teams to meet customer deadlines.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards.
